A music video for an AI song: Suno, Udio and more

Check your rights first

Before you publish an AI song, read the terms of the tool you made it with. Suno's help center says, in October 2026:

• Songs made while subscribed to a Pro or Premier plan are yours, with commercial-use rights, even after the subscription ends.
• Songs made on the free plan are owned by Suno and may be used only for non-commercial purposes.
• Subscribing later does not license songs made earlier on the free plan.
• Songs with commercial-use rights can go to Spotify, Apple Music and other services through a distributor.

Other tools have their own terms. Terms change, so check the current ones before you release.

Which video fits an AI song

• An AI music video: scenes and characters generated with AI, directed, synced and finished like a real production. See AI music videos.
• A lyric video: the words on screen, from an animated cover to a Premium lyric video. See lyric videos.
• A cover and a Spotify Canvas, so the song looks finished on the streaming services. See cover art and Spotify Canvas.

Why direction matters

AI can generate footage. Turning it into a music video is design work: the concept, the scenes, the cuts to the beat and the finish. That is the part a studio adds, and it is the same for an AI song as for any other.

What to send

• The song: the best-quality file you can export.
• The lyrics, checked for typos.
• The names: the song title and the artist name, spelled exactly as they should appear.
• Any references you like: images, videos, colours.
