Our commitment

Avoxvision Ltd. wants everyone to be able to use avoxstudio.com, including people with disabilities. The site is built to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, as the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) Regulations, 2013, require.

What we did

  • All the information on the site, our services, our work and how to reach us, is on regular web pages (the Services and Work pages and a page for each service), built with headings, landmarks and links that work with a keyboard and with screen readers.
  • Every regular page starts with a "Skip to content" link.
  • Images have text alternatives; decorative images are marked so that screen readers skip them.
  • Text can be enlarged with the browser's zoom without losing content.
  • The home page's exhibition works with a keyboard: the Tab key reaches every button and link, and the arrow keys (or Page Up and Page Down) move between its stops.
  • A "Pause motion" button at the top of the home page stops everything that moves or changes by itself: the rows of our work, the bubbles, the background animations, the changing pictures and the videos on the screens.
  • Everything Maor, our animated guide, says is also written on the screen.
  • The pages were checked with the automated accessibility tool axe (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1, levels A and AA), which found no errors, and checked by hand with a keyboard.

What is still limited

  • The home page is a visual exhibition: animated scenes, a journey you move through by scrolling, and an animated guide. Its pictures are artwork. The information they introduce, our services and our work, is on the regular pages, which are linked from the top of every page.
  • Some text in the exhibition sits over pictures, where its contrast can be lower than elsewhere.
  • Our videos play on YouTube, and our posts are on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. The accessibility of those services is in their hands.
